The dream of a road racing bike became a reality for all those growing up in 1980’s. Directly developed from the air-cooled 1970’s Yamaha RD350 and liquid cooled Yamaha RD350 LC, the 1983 Yamaha RD 350 YPVS was a hit!
The engine was still a parallel-twin two-stroke with liquid cooling but improved with revolutionary YPVS = Yamaha Power Valve System. To improve performance further, the new Yamaha RD 350 YPVS was fitted with lighter frame, new exhaust, Monocross rear suspension, triple disc brake at front and single disc brake at rear, new tubeless tyres.
In 1985 new brake calipers and electric tachometer was fitted, followed by new fuel tank, caburetor, cylinder head, exhaust and ignition system a year later. During the following years new lighter battery was added to the mix together with new wheels and twin headlight in 1991.
This lightweight sports machine came in several versions, the very early upgraded RD 350 LC2 YPVS, the normal or also called naked version RD 350 YPVS N1 (N2), the fully-faired aerodynamic RD 350 YPVS F1 (F2) and the late, not very successful, Brazil production RD 350R.
As Yamaha models evolved so did parts, some are still being used nowadays and are available from Yamaha dealers directly, some were made obsolete. We offer a quality reproductions of some of the most desired Yamaha RD 350 YPVS spare parts on the market.
